Botim enables direct GCash transfers as Filipino remittances surge 145%

Filipinos in the UAE can now transfer money directly to GCash wallets in the Philippines via the Botim app, following a strategic partnership between the two digital finance platforms announced on Monday, 28 September. Remittance volumes surge by 145% The integration targets a growing demographic of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) using digital channels. According to data released by Botim, the value of remittances sent to the Philippines through its platform increased 145% year-on-year during the first eight months of 2026. The number of transacting users on the app rose by 115% during the same period. Botim currently reports 548,000 verified Filipino users in the UAE, representing more than 60% of the local Filipino community. The company also confirmed that 2.2 million people within the Philippines utilized Botim services over the past 12 months.
