Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior activated air raid sirens across the Kingdom on Tuesday as part of a technical procedure. The sounding of the alert was managed by the General Directorate of Civil Defense to ensure the functional readiness of the national emergency grid. National Early Warning System Test The Ministry confirmed that the sirens were triggered as part of a scheduled maintenance and testing phase for the National Early Warning System. These tests are conducted periodically to evaluate the auditory range of the sirens and the speed of activation across different governorates. Residents were informed that the signals were for testing purposes and did not indicate an actual emergency. The National Early Warning System is designed to alert the public in the event of natural disasters, industrial accidents, or security threats.
