Arab finance ministers to convene in Abu Dhabi for 50th AMF anniversary

Arab finance ministers and international financial institutions will meet in Abu Dhabi on Monday to discuss AI integration in fiscal policy and regional economic stability.
Abu Dhabi will host the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and the 17th Ordinary Session of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers on Monday, 28 September. The high-level gathering, held under the patronage of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to strengthen regional economic resilience against global market shifts. Artificial Intelligence and Fiscal Policy The Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the AMF, confirmed that the ministerial session will focus on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in fiscal policy. According to the official agenda, the Arab Monetary Fund will present a specialized report assessing public finance conditions across Arab nations. These discussions are intended to modernise regional financial frameworks and improve data-driven decision-making. International financial bodies will also lead key technical sessions. The World Bank Group is scheduled to present sustainable financing mechanisms for infrastructure, while the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will provide updates on international tax decisions, specifically regarding Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS).
