Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort has ceased operations on the World Islands archipelago, marking a shift in the luxury hospitality landscape for the off-shore development. The resort, which served as a flagship property on the South America island of the project, was one of the first major hotel brands to establish a presence in the area. Transition of Management The closure follows a period of operation where the resort offered 70 villas, suites, and rooms situated approximately four kilometers off the coast of Jumeirah. While the operator Anantara has exited the site, the infrastructure remains part of the wider World Islands master project, which consists of 300 man-made islands. Guests with existing reservations are being contacted regarding cancellations or relocations to other Anantara properties in the UAE, including the Palm Jumeirah and Qasr Al Sarab resorts.
