Al Rawi Programme trains 40 storytellers at Sharjah's Arabian Heritage Centre

Sharjah's Arabian Heritage Centre on Monday, August 24, welcomed 40 aspiring narrators for the second edition of the Al Rawi Programme for Preparing Storytellers. The four-day initiative, a pivotal pre-event activity for the 26th Sharjah International Narrator Forum, develops their craft and explores innovative methods for presenting heritage tales. Organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, the intensive programme draws participants from diverse segments of society. Students from the American University of Sharjah, Al Qasimia University, and the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators all attend. This training aims to attract creative talents and hone their storytelling skills. “The goal is not only to preserve our rich narrative heritage but also to encourage fresh approaches to storytelling that resonate with contemporary audiences,” stated Aisha Al Hossan, Director of the Arabian Heritage Centre.
