Al Rahbah and Al Khatim events boost Emirati palm heritage and local farm sales

Abu Dhabi City Municipality recorded more than 16,000 visitors at its "Date Harvest Season" events held at Al Rahbah Plaza and Al Khatim Park on Tuesday, 25 August. The dual-location celebration focused on Emirati agricultural heritage and the commercial promotion of locally produced dates. High attendance at Al Rahbah and Al Khatim The event at Al Rahbah Plaza drew the largest crowd, with more than 10,000 attendees participating in workshops focused on traditional palm crafts and customs. A parallel event at Al Khatim Park attracted approximately 6,000 visitors, specifically targeting farm owners and residents in the eastern region of the emirate. The Municipality partnered with several major entities to facilitate the programme, including ADNOC Distribution, KEZAD Group, the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA). In Al Khatim, additional support was provided by the Abu Dhabi Police, Etihad Rail, and Al Foah Dates.
