H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, marked Emirati Women’s Day on Friday, 28 August, by calling for an expansion of opportunities for the next generation of women as the UAE enters its next 50-year development phase. Speaking on the national occasion, Sheikh Humaid stated that the 2026 theme, "We Emerge Stronger and Better," signifies a transition into a period where female contributions are expected to increase across national and international sectors. The Ruler noted that the progress of Emirati women is rooted in the "Mother of the Nation 50:50 Vision," a strategic roadmap designed to enhance their participation over the coming five decades. Strategic Focus on the 50:50 Vision Sheikh Humaid emphasized that the current success of women in the UAE is the result of an "integrated ecosystem" comprising supportive family structures, institutional recognition of talent, and a society that facilitates full economic and social participation. He credited H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, for establishing the empowerment frameworks that allow women to lead while maintaining national identity.
