The Ajman Court of First Instance dismissed a civil suit seeking Dh10 million after the plaintiff failed to provide proof of payment for the registered asset.

The Ajman Court of First Instance has dismissed a lawsuit filed by an Arab woman seeking ownership of a property valued at Dh10 million, ruling that she failed to provide legal evidence to support her claim against her former husband. Lack of Documentary Evidence The plaintiff filed the civil suit against her ex-husband, a GCC national, claiming she had paid for the property located in Ajman. According to court records, the woman alleged that the property was registered in the defendant's name only because her nationality at the time of purchase prevented her from owning real estate in that specific area. She requested the court to transfer the title deed to her name or, alternatively, compel the defendant to pay her Dh10 million, representing the market value of the asset. To support her claim, the woman presented a handwritten document she alleged was signed by the defendant acknowledging her ownership. However, the defendant denied the validity of the document and the claims of payment.
