The 38-year-old veteran announced his retirement from all formats of cricket—including international matches, domestic red-ball fixtures for Mumbai, and the Indian Premier League (IPL)—bringing an end to a remarkable 17-year journey. Posting an emotional video message across his social media platforms, Rahane reflected on a career built on discipline, humility, and unwavering commitment to the team. "The reality of life is that everything has a beginning and everything has an end," Rahane stated. "I have always relied on timing in my batting and I have always understood its importance.
