Air India Express has launched the first direct flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Guwahati, reducing travel time to five hours.
Air India Express has commenced direct flight operations connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Guwahati, establishing the first non-stop aviation link between the UAE and Northeast India. The new services eliminate the need for layovers in major hubs like Delhi or Kolkata, significantly reducing travel time for passengers. \n\n Direct Connectivity to Guwahati \n The low-cost carrier, a subsidiary of Air India, now operates direct flights from Abu Dhabi International (AUH) and Dubai International (DXB) to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU). The Abu Dhabi route operates three times per week, while the Dubai service maintains a twice-weekly schedule. These flights are serviced by the airline’s new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. \n\n Previously, travelers from the seven sister states of Northeast India faced travel times exceeding 10 hours due to domestic transfers.
