Abu Dhabi recorded 3,212 real estate transactions worth AED13.1 billion during April 2024, signaling a surge in investor activity across the capital. Data from the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) confirms that the total value of sales and mortgages rose as the emirate expands its residential and commercial footprint. Sales and Mortgage Breakdown Individual property sales accounted for 2,246 transactions, totaling AED9.1 billion. This volume reflects high demand for both off-plan projects and ready-to-move-in units. Saadiyat Island, Yas Island, and Al Reem Island remain the primary drivers of this growth, attracting the majority of high-value residential acquisitions. The mortgage sector also saw substantial activity, with 966 agreements registered in April.
