Abu Dhabi Aquatics signs two agreements to enhance athletes' health wellbeing

The club signed deals with Kids Heart Medical Centre and the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council to provide free screenings and rescue training.

Abu Dhabi Aquatics Club signed two separate partnership agreements on Tuesday, 18 August, to provide mandatory medical screenings for its athletes and establish new professional training standards for water safety personnel. The agreements were formalised during the Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) event currently hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The first partnership, signed with Kids Heart Medical Centre, grants club members and athletes access to a range of free medical examinations and preventive healthcare services designed to monitor physical readiness and long-term wellness. Medical and safety benchmarks Under the second agreement, the club will collaborate with the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) to implement specialised training and development programmes. This initiative targets the qualification of professionals working in rescue and water safety, ensuring all personnel meet the highest technical standards approved within the emirate. Humaid Al Houti, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Aquatics Club, stated that the move aims to build a system that integrates competitive training with health safety and professional certification. He noted that the partnership with ADQCC is specifically intended to standardise rescue operations and water safety protocols.
